Ken J. Woo
Ken Jan Woo was born in Shanghai China. He moved to the United States when he was five years old. His mother and grandmother are academic painters from the Russian and French schools of painting.
He graduated from the University of San Diego, and has masters of Fine Arts degrees from the New York Academy of Art and the Central Academy of Art in Beijing, China
He studied in Florence, Italy under Mario Fallani, Daniel Graves and John Angel, a student of Pietro Annigoni. In 2002 he was resident artist at the Ruskin School of Drawing at Oxford University. His art has been shown in many countries and is in the private collections of both the Guggenheim and Hearst families. He is also in the Public collections of Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Our Saviour's Church, St. Malachy's (Actors' Chapel), and Murray Hill Place in New York City , Saint Bridget Hospice in Kildare, Ireland , and St. Gabriel's Church in Charlotte, North Carolina .
